KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

Assist Logistics Manager in following tasks

• Coordination of the operations (PO management, warehouse, documentation, custom, transport) and make sure adequate resources
• Resources management with predefined and approved providers
• Being a single window for the customers and facilitating effective communications between the customers, operations teams, subcontractors, local and regional management team on day-to-day operations problems and issues
• Handling customers’ complaints and developing corrective action plan to solve the complaints in timely manner
• Sourcing potential subcontractors. Assist purchasing department to negotiate with them to get the minimum cost/price for the best interest of the customers and SDV, training them according to the designed solutions, monitoring their performance in comply with the committed service levels, correcting sub-standard performance in timely manner
• Liaison with relevant local authorities to ensure effective implementation
• To handle and follow up with the new business enquiries.
• To work out quotation and proposal for existing and new clients.
• Participating in the solutions design, identifying operations alternatives, developing operations / cost / pricing modeling, preparing presentation material, presenting the solution and finally soliciting the customers’ endorsement to buy-in the proposed solutions
• Implementing and reviewing the solutions according to the agreed specifications, i.e. not limited to the development of standard operating procedures (SOP), service levels, key performance indicators (KPI), operations, staff training and management reports, system supports etc

Requirements

BASIC SKILL LEVEL REQUIREMENTS

• University graduates in logistics, transportation or international trade disciplines
• 8 years above experience in 3PL or related industry
• Solid exposure to bonded logistics operations process in Free Trade Zone and/or Bonded Logistics Park
• Solid market intelligence on the prevailing rates and strong negotiation skill
• Familiar with PRC import and export customs clearance procedures
• Detail understanding on full-set cross-border air, sea, land and customs documentation
• Mandarin and English language proficiency
