Summary of the role but also what our team are up to:
As a Business Development Manager, China,?you will be responsible for increasing overall sales volume by developing key relationships with new accounts and growing existing assigned Go City business partnerships. This individual will have a strategic mindset and will manage the partnership Pamp;L and identify new business growth opportunities.

What will you be responsible for /helping us to do?

  • Responsible for increasing overall sales volume by developing key relationships with new distribution partners in the China e-commerce ecosystem such as hotels, airlines, travel agencies, super apps, tour operators, retail, banking, and other verticals as they develop
  • Success in delivering on set OKRs and owning sales targets, as well as other strategic projects as agreed with the company senior team
  • Own the end-to-end financial performance and growth of your partnerships, including the onboarding, commercial, operational, and technical aspects
  • Manage and maintain existing relationships with key accounts as well as focus on new business development to maintain a strong robust pipeline of opportunities
  • Maintain a high level of competition product knowledge and market intelligence
  • Proactively optimize the business by ensuring every opportunity for growth and innovation is take, measured, maximized, and scaled globally
  • Foster a culture of innovation, new business development and partnership, always searching for ways to deliver benefit to our partners, team members and the industry
  • Ensure you manage time effectively to ensure the efficiency and productivity expectations around regular operating functions, like meetings and reporting are met
  • Ability to collaborate with various teams with working cultures and located in different Go City offices
  • Represent Go City at conferences, events and more broadly within the industry

Requirements

What skills do you have that are essential in this role?

Essential:

  • B2B Business development/sales experience in the China travel trade
  • Fluency in business English and business Chinese
  • Competency in connectivity framework discussions
  • Ability to, and experience of, making use of data in decision making?and solutioning
  • Confident, self-motivated and goal-oriented

Desirable:

  • High familiarity with the experiences’ products and distribution landscape; Has an existing network of high-profile distributors preferred
  • Working in a globally distributed team
  • Highly collaborative with an entrepreneurial, roll-up-your sleeves attitude
