Job Description

Role Purpose

This is a pivotal and highly visible position, overseeing complex financial investigations and forensic accounting assignments in China and the broader Asia Pacific Region while coordinating with counterparts in our offices worldwide.
This position will play a key role in generating opportunities with new and existing clients in the region, by leveraging existing resources as well as building new capabilities.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Originate, scope and convert forensic investigation, dispute, regulatory compliance and technology opportunities primarily in Greater China.
  • Act as a leader and line manager for the Shanghai-based Forensics team members, providing support with team development and training.
  • End to end case management of white-collar crime investigations, proactive anti-fraud and anti-corruption risk assessment services and financial, technical accounting and other analysis relating to litigation.
  • Proposal/pitch development, engagement delivery and report preparation.
  • Management of existing and new client relationships, delivering best in class service while ensuring full compliance with applicable laws.
  • Being pro-active and aware of market trends, industry-specific developments, including a solid understanding of digital forensics, e-discovery and data analytics tools.
  • Working with geo-market and service line Partners in the execution of global and regional strategies at the local level

Requirements

  • Deep understanding and experience of scoping and delivering different types of investigations (internal, regulatory and cross-border), forensic accounting and proactive fraud and compliance risk assessment projects, including the use and application of technology in their delivery.
  • Proven experience of operating successfully at a senior level, with track record of converting business development leads.
  • Extensive forensic investigation experience.
  • Excellent report writer with the ability to present clearly and succinctly findings from complex investigations for different audiences including C-suite clients, external counsel, tribunals, and the court.
  • Management of investigative assignments and projects relating to proposed, pending or active litigation.
  • Excellent inter-personal and presentation skills.
  • Deep knowledge of our industry and competitors
