Job Description

Use expertise to craft E-commerce strategies and support international brands with China trading partner (TP) selection, setup and management

Responsibilities:

E-commerce offering and processes:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of Hot Pot’s products and services and how they are delivered
  • Work with Head of Commercial Strategy and internal teams in optimising, evolving, standardising and embedding the Company’s E-commerce offering

E-commerce strategy creation and delivery:

  • Leverage expertise and insights to deliver best-in-class China E-commerce strategies for clients
  • Based on a defined target audience and brand positioning, identify relevant E-commerce platforms and channels
  • Guide on how to drive traffic and conversion within E-commerce platforms as well as integrate with social, offline and other channels
  • Input into a China roadmap and routes to ROI with ability to develop E-commerce sales forecasts and estimated in-platform marketing investment and tactics
  • Develop E-commerce in-platform marketing plans including establishing key objectives, budget allocation, calendar plan and performance metrics.
  • Present E-commerce strategies to key client stakeholders clearly and confidently
  • Lead the delivery of client ongoing China E-commerce consulting requirements

E-commerce partner (TP) selection and setup:

  • Lead clients through the process of selecting a China E-commerce partner (TP)
  • Understand current status and align with client on priorities, expectations and requirements for TP selection
  • Input into a step-by-step process and proposed timelines from initial screening through to selection and setup
  • Source, grow and maintain personal network of TPs as well as key organisations, including Alibaba, JD.com and Bytedance
  • Support the commercial negotiation between the client and selected TP, including identification of key variables and guidance on counter proposal
  • Act as the ongoing liaison between client stakeholders and the TP throughout the setup phase, including briefing to relevant departments and on-boarding, including customer service training and ways-of working

E-commerce partner (TP) management:

  • Responsibility for delivery of client E-commerce sales performance as well as brand guardianship through expert management of E-commerce partner (TP)
  • Support the platform setup process, including gathering and provision of required documents and signatures
  • Align on monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts and marketing activities in line with marketplace promotion calendars and budget allocation
  • Define the key promotional mechanics and implementation across the year
  • Facilitate the creation of relevant reporting templates
  • Daily communication with TP project management and operations team as well as platform contacts as required
  • Ongoing briefing of required global and local brand marketing content and other assets
  • Ongoing briefing of required product and stock quantities/status
  • Daily monitoring of store homepage, product pages, key visuals and campaign activation to help optimise brand and user experience
  • Identify and source the most relevant data from Tmall and the TP
  • Performance tracking, monitoring and optimisation in sync with TP
  • Advocate for relevant integration and consistency with offline and non-commercial channels

Requirements
