Our Shanghai office was established in 2004, since then, we have enjoyed double-digit growth each year until now and maintained good relationship with a number of clients who are leading players within their particular industries across Consumer goods, Industrial, Finance, etc. We have a strong commercial and research team who are equipped with great client knowledge and strong understanding of the industries which enable us to provide high quality service to our clients and keep evolving our solutions so that to fit ever-changing business needs from the industries.

With the fast growing pace of Shanghai office, we are therefore looking for an Account manager to join our commercial team to strengthen our relationship with clients and further boost our growth in China.

The Account Manager’s focus should be to become a trusted advisor of their clients, developing an understanding of their clients’ business objectives and strategy so that they can propose intelligence solutions which help their clients achieve their goals. Account manager should use their knowledge of their clients’ strategy to advise on where and how Euromonitor can help, thereby move from being a mere supplier of data to creating long-lasting and successful relationships. The Account manager manages a territory of renewal accounts and is personally responsible for securing their renewals every year, growing revenue and embedding Euromonitor as their market intelligence solution provider. This is a proactive, commercially driven role where success is ultimately measured in renewal rate and revenue growth. The Account manager must be confident and self-motivated, and keen to work closely with clients and drive the commercial agenda.

Main responsibilities

  • Secure contract renewal and grow revenue for each client.
  • Develop client relationships:
    • Understand client’s organisation, strategy and priorities, through extensive mapping and strategic planning, grow network of users, grow usage, successfully convey benefits of Passport and Euromonitor’s methodology, establish Passport as must-have, develop partnership style relationship.
  • Train users in-person and/or via online demonstrations.
  • Provide expert research support to all clients, through detailed understanding of Euromonitor’s product portfolio and research methodology.
  • Encourage more usage/users and information sharing to improve quality of data in Passport.
  • Collaborate with industry teams:
    • Develop product offering to meet the changing needs of our client base
    • Leverage research and industry expertise into the client base.b

Requirements

We are looking for a self-motivated person, ideally with at least 2 years’ relevant experience with a proven track record managing client relationship and delivering incremental revenue in the B2B arena.

  • Networking and communication skills to uncover new opportunities and deepen client relationships.
  • Tenacity, drive, commercial awareness and persuasiveness to close deals.
  • Target oriented ability to meet both revenue and activity target monthly and annually.
  • Ability to manage workload across all clients, balancing proactive commercial activities with reactive client support.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of consumer market trends and dynamics preferable.
  • Good oral and written English.
