Job Description

  • Project Management budgets preparation, Agreements and Client relationship.
  • Developing and managing project policies, procedures, reporting templates, and other shared project management information systems.
  • Administer project management support service such as methodology, best work practices, standard guidelines, and project reporting templates.
  • Manage project technical design, drawings, technical specification reviews and approvals.
  • Monitoring compliance with project management standards, policies, procedures, and templates.
  • Managing and resolving projects major technical issues, scope changes with shipyard, classification society and project sponsor.
  • Supervision and close liaison with the site team for follow on any matters.
  • Coordinating communication across projects, including timely and periodic updates to the client and own management as required.
  • Conduct project closure with project sponsor (ship owner).
  • Recruitment of site team members as per project requirement.
  • Managing shared resources across all projects, including mobilization and de- mobilization of project site team based on project schedules.
  • Coaching, mentoring and development of team spirit and know-how of project site team.
  • Ensure proper document control and filing of the entire project.

Requirements

  • Preferably Chief Engineer Class 1 COC
  • Ex-sailing LNG/LPG Chief Engineer / Cargo Engineer / Tech. Superintendent experience is preferred.
  • Experience with new building of Gas Carriers, conduct and management of Gas Trials, Dual Fueled engines is an advantage
  • The person shall have prior working experience in the marine industry, having worked in similar work environment and capacity. A proven track record as a Newbuilding Site Manager and must have worked ashore as a Project Manager with a reputed shore-based Shipping Company is preferred.
  • Degree in Relevant Maritime Engineering Profession
