Job Description

We are looking to hire an Insight Manager to help drive our insights capability. In this role you will analyse data and trends to formulate actionable insights that will inform strategic recommendations and decision making to help brands succeed with China. You will also oversee analysis and presentation of insights from our proprietary research tool.

Responsibilities

Insight offering and processes:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of Hot Pot’s products and how they are delivered
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to design, optimise, standardise, and embed how the company generates and uses insights
  • Play an integral role in the development and delivery of Hot Pot’s proprietary insights tool

Insight development and sharing:

  • Oversee Hot Pot’s internal insight development and sharing program
  • Identify external insights partners and maintain relationships
  • Conduct research, attend industry events, and subscribe to and read industry publications
  • Support with Hot Pot marketing, new business pitches and client upsell opportunities

Strategic input:

  • Generate insights to support strategic recommendations for China market entry and development, campaigns, content and ongoing operational and brand guidance
  • Conduct audits of clients China awareness, perception, presence and activity to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges
  • Highlight relevant category, consumer and competitor trends that to inform China target audiences, localised brand’s positioning, channel selection and marketing approach
  • Support strategy and campaign development as required

Project scoping and support:

  • Participate in internal project kick-off meetings and follow project processes and tools
  • Ensure all client assets are reviewed and in order prior to commencing work
  • Contribute to the ongoing optimisation of processes, tools and templates
  • Time track all activities

Experience

  • Working with international brands and clients.
  • Working in China in an insight related role.
  • Sourcing information and intelligence via category reports, social listening, focus groups, consumer surveys and both Chinese and English editorial media
  • Delivering actionable insights to inform business and creative strategies in China, with specific expertise in brand / consumer, digital and commercial.
