Job Description

The Campaign Manager role oversees the production of marketing campaigns for brands and retailers targeting Chinese consumers

Responsibilities:

China strategy input:

  • Collaborate with Strategists to generate insights that inform clients China marketing strategy
  • Review the strategy prior to presentation to the client to ensure relevance for proposed campaigns and other ongoing activity

Campaign ideation and planning support:

  • Support the development of campaign ideas and plans.
  • Attend and contribute to campaign ideation and planning presentations to clients.

Campaign execution management:

  • Select, brief and negotiate with partners across key campaign areas, including content (copywriting and design), creative, influencers/KOLs/KOCs, ad buying, SEM, SEO, tech build, CRM, PR and events
  • Manage the development and presentation of comprehensive campaign briefs that will ensure partners and freelancers produce high quality deliverables in line with expectations
  • Review work produced by partners, ensuring it meets the brief and manage revisions as required, prior to further internal / client reviews.
  • Manage time for all work produced by partners, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Review partner invoices prior to submission to the Projects team.
  • Collate data required for weekly / monthly / end of campaign performance reports with input into analysis, as required.
  • Ensure good communications throughout the campaign - escalating issues and risks as they are identified.

Partner sourcing and management:

  • Ongoing review and identification of gaps in the Hot Pot partner network
  • Through networking, reading and research, stay abreast of who the best partners are in China across key areas including insight, content (copywriting and design), creative, influencers/KOLs, ad buying, SEM, SEO, tech build, CRM, PR and events
  • Maintain a usable database of current partners by regularly contacting promising and non-competing agencies and freelancers
  • Evaluate partner capability and fit to Hot Pot standards and values, determining whether they are suitable to join the partner network
  • Support end-to-end management of partners, including onboarding, campaign and content briefs, overseeing production and giving feedback on the completion of work

Business development:

  • Ongoing provision of China market insight to help keep the client and broader team informed of the latest developments
  • Support pitch development for new and existing clients as required, bringing insight and strategic thought into proposals.

Project scoping and setup:

  • Input into the creation of scopes of work and project plans, obtaining cost and time estimates from partners where required.
  • Participate in internal project kick-off meetings, ensuring the client brief and project plan is thoroughly understood.
  • Ensure all client assets are reviewed and in order prior to commencing work.
  • Follow project processes and tools - identifying inefficiencies or opportunities for improvement along the way.
  • Time track all activities.
