Job Description
Design and user experience (UX) are at the forefront of everything we do. Within the team, you will be translating concepts into real-life customer experiences through the testing platform and building react components. You will work closely with the UX designers and oversee the technical aspect of the designs and collaborate with the product team to interpret front end specs. You will help and support the wider team with any issues that arise on the platform and ensure an understanding of the testing roadmap and prioritisation of tests by working closely within the UX team. You will also oversee all the changes before they go live.
From creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes. At each stage, you will anticipate what our users need, advocate for them and ensure that the final product surprises and delights them.
Enhance user satisfaction with a product by improving usability and accessibility. Also, communicate the design to stakeholders and developers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather requirements in collaboration with product managers, ux designers and engineers
- Understand design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Build page navigation buttons and search fields etc
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
- Create original ui designs using tools like Figma or Sketch.
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness, states and errors etc)
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
- Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images
- Maintain and balance design system for front-end in all over platform
Requirements
- Native Chinese with experience of working on projects in mainland China
- Reading and speaking English at a good level
- Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad range of projects.
- Understand how ReactJS lifecycle works for routing, components and JSS
- Understand how to use specialist software such as Figma, InVision, Sketch, Adobe illustrator, photoshop
- Prepare clickable prototypes from UI wireframes using ReactJS with mock data.
- Self-development skills to keep up to date with fast-changing trends
- Understand what it takes to take a complex structure and create a simplified solution
- Professional approach to time, costs and deadlines
- Excellent organisational, time and project management skills
- Work Portfolio: able to provide a strong portfolio of example work which demonstrates creative design thinking and UX/UI best practice
- Front End/ Design/ CSS
- Setup figma designs with UI functionality, therefore it needs coding ability. This is before a FE developer plumbs in services.
Desireable:
- Experience with WeChat mini programs
- Strong understanding between UX/UI with react.js coding knowledge.
- Build frontend user interface elements/components, like menus, tabs and widgets using ReactJS.
