The Shanghai office is growing at a fast pace and we are therefore looking for an enthusiastic sales team member to increase our business in China.


The position

The Key Account Executive’s primary role is to achieve annual revenue targets and maximise sales revenues from existing key clients.

This is a proactive, commercially driven role where success is ultimately measured in revenue growth. The Key Account Executive must be confident and self-motivated, and keen to work closely with clients and drive the commercial agenda.

Each KAC manages a territory of existing clients and is personally responsible for securing renewals, growing revenues and embedding Euromonitor (preferred supplier).

Main responsibilities

  • Responsible to increase business with EXISTING KEY Clients present in China
  • To identify new prospects within existing clients amp; to create upsell opportunities
  • Manage contract renewal and upsell negotiations to ensure maximum client value
  • Develop strong client relationships
  • Evaluate and promote system usage within each client organisation
  • Explore all opportunities for increasing client value, pitching new content wherever possible
  • Provide support to clients liaising with internal colleagues as necessary
  • Offer training to all users to ensure they understand the full range of content and functionality available in their subscription.
  • Organise telephone training, on-site training, attendance at conferences and exhibitions, user groups as necessary.
  • Requirements

    We are looking for a sales orientated and driven person, ideally with at least 3 years’ experience of selling in marketing research and consulting solutions.

    The candidate must have strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin and must be:

  • Excellent communication, presentation and selling skills
  • Experience in dealing with MNCs across multiple industries
  • A high level of Word, Excel and PPT
  • Fluency in oral and written English, and Mandarin
  • A tenacious pro-active, target-driven approach to sales
  • Strong individual that can work in team
  • Commercial awareness and a good knowledge of business in China
  • Confidence in dealing with senior decision-makers
  • Good business research knowledge
  • Strong presentation, sales, negotiation and influencing skills
