The Marketing Specialist is responsible for assisting the marketing team to enhance brand awareness for Frontiers in China and promoting Frontiers’ key products and content to expand Frontiers’ influence in Chinese scientific community. He or she is responsible for operating social media, promoting our journals and other products effectively through diversified channels. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment with a very innovative scientific publisher. He or she will work closely with colleagues across departments in a global context, as well as external partners in China.
- Operating current social media channels in China (WeChat/Weibo/Zhihu etc.) by generating appropriate content to enhance brand awareness and promote key content to the scientific community in China;
- Organizing effective marketing activities through diversified channels to generate leads for content acquisition and meet editorial targets;
- Assisting in analysing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies;
- Working with external marketing channels to ensure extensive and accurate outreach of our relevant content;
- Organizing thought leadership events to engage KOLs and the scientific community in China;
- Providing marketing support for publishing teams (conference amp; materials etc.) ;
- Developing ideas for creative marketing campaigns.

Requirements
- 2-3 years’ work experiences, experiences in science communication or content acquisition marketing preferred;
- Knowledge and insight about the scientific community, with a passion for science communication;
- Experiences with branding strategy preferred;
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize varied workload under pressure;
- Creative thinking;
- Available for regular travel.
- Experiences with short video marketing preferred;
- Outgoing, highly motivated and data/target driven;
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English;
- Detail-oriented and collaborative;
