The Role:
As our business continues to grow at pace and we prepare to launch in China domestic in H2 2021, we are looking for a strong leader to build our China supply chain function. This role will oversee demand planning; customer supply chain to our stores, our ecommerce platforms and our wholesale partners; physical distribution in market through our 3PL partner and collaboration with the global supply team to bring product into China. The role will also provide local support to global quality control and regulatory as well as being a key member of the China leadership team as we establish this exciting brand in market. Role Accountabilities:
Team: ensure our China supply chain team has the best talent and that they develop expertise in end-to-end beauty supply chain alongside the ability to thrive in the fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment of Charlotte Tilbury. Support them with the key activities in scope:
-Order processing from wholesale clients
-Manage inventory in our own store channel
-Ensuring we have the inventory amp; capacity at our 3PLs to support ecommerce plans
-Work with the commercial teams to convert their business plan into a demand plan
3PLs: work with our China 3PL (Kerry Logistics) to ensure we get the right service at the right cost through day to day management and longer term improvement projects
Service: clearly define service expectations for our different commercial channels and influence internal and external stakeholders to meet these targets through operational and strategic action
Demand Planning: Lead the China demand planning team to ensure they work with the commercial and brand teams to convert business plans into an accurate demand plan. Ensure the global Samp;OP process runs smoothly in market.
-best practice approach to demand planning to ensure teams invest their time in the most effective way (forecast methodology; launches; implement and maintain critical paths)
-strong collaboration with commercial, finance and brand teams
Cost: own the cost for warehousing and distribution. Report monthly on performance, opportunities amp; risks and provide future projections. Build challenging annual cost saving targets in line with business objectives. Define and lead short and long term initiatives to achieve these objectives
Leadership amp; Relationships : provide a clear direction for China supply chain.
-Partner with global supply chain functions to achieve China and global goals
-use strong data analysis and reporting to drive action in the business
-show and foster in others a strong bias to action and effective escalation with respect to the identification and resolution of issues
