Job Description

Based in Shanghai office with up to 10% travel in domestic China.

We are expanding our Quality team in support of our mission; to be the customers choice! We are looking for QC Coordinator to join our team, to plan, execute and monitor the consumer product quality inspections that take place at our supplier facilities. These include new supplier audits, during production inspection, pre-shipment inspection and on-demand special inspections.

  • 80% of new suppliers pass their factory audit (achieved through proper due diligence prior to confirming audit)
  • 90% of QC inspections completed to-plan with no impact on order delivery date
  • Zero occurrences of non-compliance in the 3rd party inspector service provision
  • 95% of inspections have all required information to carry out (including PO batch information, approved samples and/or data pack)
  • 100% of inspection reports entered into QMS (Quality Management System) within 48 hours of issue.
  • 100% of purchase orders under ownership have the appropriate inspection scheduled or skipped - no order to be overlooked.
  • They have established excellent working relationships with 3rd party providers such that no critical feedback has been raised internally.
  • Per man-hour inspection costs are decreasing as inspection volume increases with the business growth

What you'll do:

  • Plan and book QC inspections on consumer product purchases from suppliers in China and other locations.
  • In collaboration with Quality Assurance, Sourcing, Purchasing and other related teams, gather and share product information such that inspectors have all requirements, in advance.
  • Manage the inspection schedule, adjusting to fit changing production timings and providing updates to the wider team as needed.
  • Process incoming inspection reports by reviewing the result amp; content, sharing the outcome to stakeholders, filing in the QMS and entering key metrics.
  • Together with the QA team, agree the next action to take on any inspection and advise suppliers accordingly.
  • Review new vendor due diligence surveys and book-in onsite factory audits appropriately.
  • Ensure all data points related to inspections are consistent, accurate and up-to-date.
  • Monitor 3rd party inspector performance, costs and service level, escalating and resolving issues to maintain an ideal service value.

Requirements

  • University degree with a technical-related major
  • High level of consumer goods production-related experience and technical knowledge
  • Excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers to resolve discrepancies, advocate consumer feedback on product quality.
  • Drive, passion and dedication is key for success in this position.
  • Analytical - able to use data to extract relevant information and identify and resolve issues logically.
  • Decision maker, someone who can work autonomously.
