The RoleVeeva Systems is seeking a Senior IT Engineer for Veeva China, based in Beijing. This eligible candidate is capable of spearheading IT technical solutions and providing a variety of IT support for our offices in China. This person must be resourceful, technical, cool under fire, and love to work in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate should be with a high level of service focus and customer-first mentality who wants to grow their career alongside the rest of the business in the region.What You'll Do
- Design, performing maintenance, and enhancement of IT infrastructure in the China region
- Interact with internal clients to help resolve all levels of IT-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner. IT ticket management.
- Provide level 2 IT support in the region. Resolving escalated technical IT matters from the internal EUS team. Responsible to bring and learn new tech, knowledge, solutions from Global IT to the regional team.
- Domains, Cloud servers, and Cloud Apps creation, management, and maintenance.
- Manage and deploy corporate PC’s/Mac’s (new hardware configuration, image maintenance, diagnosis and repair, coordinate warranty repairs)
- Provide end-user technical support for employees located in Beijing and China, may also global
- Maintain IT asset data (serial numbers, software keys, locations, etc.)
- Shipping, recycling, and disposal support of computers, peripherals
- Assist and manage IT applications (Google Apps, intranet, Egnyte, etc.)
- Communicate with US and European Global IT team in different time zones
- Help on various Veeva commercial and Ramp;D product performance testing
Requirements
- Four-year degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related discipline, or minimum 4 years of professional experience in desktop/system support, IT infrastructure engineering, or similar IT roles.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills in English
- Strong understanding of Servers, Database, Windows, and/or Mac operating system
- Linux administration knowledge, web, and domain, basic programming knowledge
- Understanding of IT Security best practices
- Ability to troubleshoot network issues/performance, and provide basic network issue analysis
- Proficiency in organizing and prioritizing work to meet deadlines
- Ability to independently research and implement new technologies
Nice to Have
- Previous experience with cloud/SaaS
- Knowledge of API settings and WeChat APIs.
- Previous network experience is a plus
- Project experience of running IT infrastructure setup
- Telephony or cloud phone management experience
- Worked in a globalized organization across multiple regions amp; timezones
- Experience documenting IT applications and training users
