The Role
Veeva’s Business Consulting group is a key growth area for the company. It offers a differentiated consulting service in Life Sciences with a compelling value proposition.Veeva is seeking a Business Consulting Head to lead the organization for China. The focus of the Business Consulting team is to support our customers' commercial strategies through the design and delivery of solutions for core business issues faced by our customers.As the leader of the China Business Consulting practice, you will build the team and offerings for Veeva’s commercial life sciences customers. Your role will involve planning, organizing, and tracking all aspects of delivery, sales, and solutions within the China market.What You'll Do
  • Responsible for hiring and leading the Business Consulting practice in China. Hiring the right team that brings a diversity of skills, thinking, and innovation
  • Build a strategy for Business consulting in China
  • Provide advisory to the Life Sciences industry in areas of commercial strategy, field force optimization, and digital engagement
  • Responsible for client delivery and relationship management, in addition to solution development and oversight of project delivery
  • Ensure Veeva strengthens its position with Business leaders through winning and delivering advisory support
  • Understand the core of the business issues faced by customers and develop a structured approach to solve the problem. Doing so in a highly collaborative manner - ultimately building trust along the way
  • Demonstrated ability to build deep relationships within the local market (Senior Director to C-suite)
  • Bring together the company’s valuable assets and do this by partnering closely with peers in other teams i.e. Professional Service, CSMs, Strategy, Product, etc.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years in Life Sciences advisory and industry experience, with specialized experience in Commercial Strategy, Field Force Optimization, and Digital Engagement
  • 12+ years experience in Management Consulting, including 4+ years as a lead for a consulting organization with experience in Life Sciences
  • Direct and recent experience running large enterprise operations, overseeing Pamp;L for a consulting organization
  • Ability to balance client delivery and relationship management with solution development/oversight
  • Experience driving digital transformation, data analytics, and performance improvement
  • Experience in Strategy formulation and demonstrated experience recruiting a team and building a Management Consulting practice in China
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to manage, motivate and drive teams to perform to a high standard of excellence
  • Strong communication and time management skills, ability to deliver Executive-level presentations
  • Native Chinese speaker with good written and verbal English communication skills
