Lime is looking for a high-performing mechanical engineer whose focus will be on NPI, product ramp and ongoing production support of our light-electric vehicles. Job Responsibilities· Work within Lime’s global cross-functional team to define, design and execute breakthrough light-weight vehicles· Act as Product Design’s boots on the ground in Asia· Facilitate final DFM approval with Lime’s suppliers· Work closely with Lime’s supply chain stakeholders to award manufacturing business and support lot and build evaluation· Facilitate/enable Lime’s manufacturing technology decisions - focused on supplier capability· Represent ME effort during execution of engineering builds and production ramp· Support process failure modes and effects analysis (PFMEA)· Support PPAP effort - reconciling Lime’s product specifications against manufacturing capabilities· Travel to vendor ~ 30% (avg) supporting program builds (quarterly peak could be as high as 40% during launch)
Experience / Background· B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (M.S. preferred), 10+ years of related experience· Have delivered products to the consumer electronics, automotive, or electric vehicle industries· Has healthy balance of product design and manufacturing engineering capability· Have worked with multiple suppliers and managed vendor relationships· Have substantial experience in tooling design and engineering· Has in-depth understanding of a wide variety of manufacturing processes as they relate to low and high-volume production· Proficient in Solidworks· Fluent in Mandarinand English
