Job Description

  • We are looking for a passionate, results-oriented and experienced salesperson to join our outbound Sales team in China.
  • You will be responsible for acquiring new trade finance (export-factoring) customers in the Chinese market and achieve the desired business goals - using multiple sales channels including calling, email and relevant digital channels, as well as physical sales at events and customer meetings.
  • You are a hungry self-starter with the ability to source and close deals.
  • Build a strong direct sales funnel to make MODIFI the leader in trade finance for Chinese SMEs.
  • You will develop powerful indirect sales channels (such as brokers, b2b procurement platforms, freight carriers, logistics players) to create a powerful ecosystem for our customers and partners to drive incremental growth.
  • Be a team player, contributing towards broad company goals in a world-class team with a performance- and people-driven culture.
  • Candidates with higher qualification / experience will be considered for a senior position.
  • Location can be either Shenzhen / Pearl River Delta or Shanghai / Yangtze River Delta.

Requirements

  • A hungry, infectious personality: We’re looking for someone determined to win and with the resourcefulness to achieve it. More a Hunter than a Farmer.
  • 5+ years of experience in b2b sales or business development, ideally in high transaction volume Financial Services/FinTech (especially Trade Finance and Factoring) or Import-Export
  • Have an existing network of partners or channels such as brokers, platform provider or banks to drive indirect sales
  • Passion for small and medium-sized businesses, international trade and development and how digital trade finance can create significant growth for such businesses
  • Ability to influence C-level executives as well as passionate owners of small and medium-sized businesses
  • Critical thinking and strong decision-making abilities
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and ever-changing dynamic environment
  • A bachelor degree in business / finance / international trade related or equivalent practical experience
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
