Job Summary:
ERI is seeking a qualified candidate for an immediate full-time job opening for the position of ZLD Business Development Manager. Reporting to the Senior Director, Business and Applications Development, the ZLD Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing the ZLD market in both China and India. This role will be responsible for fully understanding the total addressable market and market dynamics, while developing relationships with end users and EPC’s. You will develop and execute our strategic plan in this region.Major Duties Responsibilities:
  • Become a subject matter expert on the market for wastewater treatment utilizing RO; Develop markets, customers, identify value proposition and pain points for industry
  • Perform market research to identify TAM, new opportunities and engage with management to establish strategies for pursuing those new opportunities
  • Identify potential clients in the target market and complete appropriate research on the prospective client's business and equipment needs, teach the benefits of UHPRO and Energy Recovery
  • Develop relationships with prospective clients, while maintaining existing client relationships
  • Analyze business strategies and develop improvement plans for same to provide appropriate growth to business
  • Evaluate market trends and provide appropriate support to product development
  • Partner with sales teams to create contract-winning proposals for current and prospective clients
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate terms to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure contracted product specifications are executed on-time and as agreed
  • Promote ERI new products in assigned regions
  • Gather customers’ feedback about ERI new solutions and report out
  • Work with end users to specify ERI products
  • Work with engineering companies to specify ERI products
  • Product Pricing and positioning of ERI solutions
  • Develop TAM and business plan for market growth
  • Identify, organize, and execute relevant conferences, seminars and events.
  • Organize and attend to promote ERI products and brand
Skills Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering is required along with a strong technical background
  • 3-5 years of experience of business development in target market(s) is preferred
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is preferred
  • Fluency in spoken and written Mandarin is required
  • The position will it require domestic and international travel (to India)
  • Availability to travel between 30-50% of the time both domestic and international
  • Ability to develop business plans and other commercial documents
  • Ability to effectively utilize resources to solve issues and create solutions to customer and partner needs and problems
  • Ability to project a strong leadership image and foster a cooperative working relationship with other departments and colleagues
  • Skilled at customer relationship management, business planning, teamwork and execution. Superior oral amp; written communications and interpersonal/relationship skills
  • Ability to conduct well-organized training sessions and convey technical information clearly at all levels
