As part of the Charlotte Tilbury Team the Quality Control Manager will be key to ensure that the Charlotte Tilbury products meet, or exceed, our luxury requirements. By working closely with Regulatory, Quality, NPD and Supply chain this role is essential to support the brand’s growth into China market.
The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for quality and safety supervision of domestic productions for China market and inspections visit to local manufacturers.
Working closely with global regulatory team and third-party registration agency, the Quality Control Manager will also assist on carrying adverse reactions monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and supervise the Quality and Safety of productions performed by third party manufacturers and to report regularly to the direct manager.
- Review all product quality related documents.
- Release of finished product according to CT specifications and standards.
- Review of Certificates of Analysis, batch production records and other QC documentation
- Supervision of quality control inbound checks at relevant warehouses
- Management of quality deviations and follow-up on non-conforming products and components.
- Monitor the quality performance of suppliers and drive quality improvements. Ensuring management of nonconforming products, root cause analysis and corrective measures.
- Responsible for GMP Quality Audits of Third-Party Manufacturers and packaging suppliers for CT Beauty in mainland China. Qualification as Social System auditor would be a plus.
- Along with Head of Quality, implement a suitable audit/inspection plan to fulfil the relevant CSAR requirements.
- Management of activities related to quality recalls for China market.
- Work with Packaging Development to provide, and manage, defect range-boards for TPM’s on behalf of CT packaging.
- Implement and manage along with global regulatory team an adverse reaction monitoring plan for China market.
- Responsible for implementing quality training plans and any other activity related to quality management.
- Other Areas: i. Frequent travels to production sites and DCs in mainland China will be required, in alignment with CT Global policy and Hamp;S restrictions eventually in place. ii. Other assignments within the Quality Assurance or Regulatory remit as needed according to the CSAR regulations.
Reporting Relationships:
- This role reports into the Global Quality Control Manager and dotted line to Head of Supply Chain China.
Requirements
- 5+ years of expertise related to cosmetics and related industry production and quality is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s Science Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Experience as lead quality auditor and familiarity with ISO9001/ ISO22716 or equivalent is required. Experience as social sustainability auditor would be a plus.
- Chinese mother tongue plus good written and oral English communication
- Strong experience with managing AQLs inspection for FGs and packaging materials
- Excellent attention to detail and troubleshooting skills
- Be self-driven, result-orientated, collaborate and have great communication skills
