Job Description
We’re looking for a commercially focused and quality driven Purchasing Agent to join our rapidly expanding team based in Shanghai. You will ensure the consumer products under your management are procured and delivered at the highest possible efficiencies and according to the changing needs of end consumers and the business.
You will be an ambitious and driven individual, and at the same time you will possess the ability to build and nurture relationships to establish effective channels of communication with internal teams and the manufacturing vendors, allowing information to flow reliably with a high degree of transparency, thereby facilitating a collaborative network to support highly effective purchasing operations.

- You have taken full ownership of all your assigned suppliers such that tasks related to them are all carried out effectively and on-time with positive outcomes.
- The relationships with those suppliers have strengthened as evidenced by improved communications, delivery performance, reliability and alignment on key issues.
- The number of production exceptions (undesirable events) due to factors under their direct control has been zero.
- You have met or exceeded all the following KPIs for suppliers under their management:
- Perfect order % gt; 90% (the number of POs that fall inside the required schedule from day of issuance to goods on-the-water).
- On-time delivery tolerance: +/-10% of due date (the overall average delivery performance from PO issuance to agreed cargo ready date).
- Average lead time: Decreasing quarter to quarter
- Average payment term: Decreasing quarter to quarter
- CoG control: Average CoG decreasing quarter to quarter
- All the data related to suppliers, products, orders and shipments for their segment has been organised, up-to-date and accurate throughout the year.
- Your proactive, reflective and service-focused attitude has allowed you to build positive relationships with stakeholders across the organization, resulting in being respected and trusted as an SME in your area of expertise.
- Having built up a cache of knowledge and understanding of key business needs, you are independent in your ability to initiate new work and make responsible decisions.

What you'll do:
- Train and onboard newly qualified suppliers, ensuring they are prepared to manufacture and deliver products that meet AT Global requirements as quickly as possible.
- Through regular communication, including on-site meetings, establish excellent rapport and service provision from suppliers, aligning them to AT Global business and end customer needs.
- Discover and communicate timely status updates to the wider Supply Chain team, marketing and other stakeholders, through email, chat, con call and by entering accurate data in company systems.
- Escalate critical issues to Supply Chain management, inventory management, quality and other relevant teams.
- Identify, analyse and proactively solve production, shipping and quality related issues to ensure smooth flow of goods and consistent re-order cycles.
- Implement new Purchase Orders, Shipping Orders and vendor payments on-time and to-plan, taking any action deemed necessary to mitigate risk and ensure compliance to company policies.
