Intern, Consulting Department

(Internship period: 3 months and above, long-term preferred)

(Location: Shanghai or work from home in other cities in China)

We are looking for research champions who have strong interest in the FMCG industries to join us as Intern, Consulting Department in Euromonitor. Selected applicants will be trained and versed in Euromonitor’ s renowned research methodologies to produce high quality reports for our clients and meet deadline at the same time.

Work Responsibilities:

• Conduct Secondary Research on industries/companies/consumer trends (10%);

• Store-visits to various retail outlets to track brand/product information (10%);
• Conduct Trade Interviews /discussions via phone (cold-call) with companies and associations within various industries (especially FMCG industry) and build on existing contact list, find out industrial insights and market trends via discussion with the experts (50%);
• Engage in data calculations, analysis and estimations to develop national size/shares/data (5%);
• Forecast future consumer goods market trends, changes and developments (5%);
• Preparation and writing of company/industry reports (20%);
• Working closely with project manager on a regular basis to ensure delivery of high-quality research outputs
• Commit 5 days per week (during weekdays) preferred, no less than 3 days per week
• Comfortable in conducting interviews/discussion via phone with companies
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities
• Language proficiency, both in Chinese and English
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
• Market research experience will be a plus
• Business-related majors will be a plus
