The Role

Reporting to the Global Senior Operations Manager, based in Berlin, this position promises a rich, hands-on experience in the realm of global program support and strategic event planning. New Energy Nexus is on the lookout for an enthusiastic intern to join our Global Program Operations team. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to the operational success of our initiatives, including our upcoming Leadership Summit. You will collaborate closely with our country teams and engage in research activities to bolster our portfolio of 800+ businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the logistical planning and execution of our Leadership Summit in Shanghai, ensuring arrangements for visas, flights, accommodations, and ground transportation for approximately 25 senior management personnel hailing from 15 countries across the globe.
  • Enhance our global business portfolio through detailed research and data integrity, working alongside our country teams to enrich and classify business information with indicators such as taxonomy, to facilitate more global business support partners.
  • Uphold data integrity by integrating new findings with our existing impact data in coordination with the Global Impact Director.
  • Contribute to the development and management of a jobs board, aimed at showcasing opportunities within our network of supported businesses.
  • Support the smooth operation of our global Internship Program in collaboration with various chapters, enhancing the overall intern experience.
  • Contribute to the evolution of a cutting-edge CRM system for our global business-support partners, streamlining the management of our expansive portfolio.
  • Support on crafting an efficient internal communications plan, ensuring the seamless sharing of asynchronous information across the organization to enhance overall operational effectiveness and cohesion.
  • Support coordination of our Justice, Equity, Diversity amp; Inclusion (JEDI) Council which oversees alignment of JEDI into our programming.
Location amp; Duration

This internship offers the flexibility of remote work with the option to utilize our Shanghai office (465 Zhenning Road) any working day. The position requires a commitment of at least 4 days per week, for a minimum duration of 3 months (expected dates April - July)

Requirements

Ideal Candidate
  • Passionate about clean energy, energy equity and entrepreneurship.
  • Skilled in research, with a keen eye for detail and data integrity.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate seamlessly with diverse teams across the globe
  • Great with data collection and management system in Airtable and fillout.
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin to navigate our global and local operations effectively.
