We are looking for an ideal candidate with a programming or software development background to join our team in providing technical support to audio developers and designers in the gaming, automotive, and virtual reality industries to enable them to use Wwise to its fullest potential.

The technical customer support team is spread across Canada, China, and Japan, and we are committed to helping each other provide the best solutions for our customers. You will have the opportunity to reproduce scenarios of a very diverse nature and on multiple platforms (game consoles, cell phones). What will you do?

The work involves, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Support audio programmers and designers via email or video conference to help them get the most out of Audiokinetic products;
  • Reproduce and investigate complex software issues reported by customers in the Wwise SDK code, Unreal and Unity integrations and the Wwise authoring tool;
  • Escalate the issue to the appropriate development team when a software change is required;
  • Play an active role with the software development and documentation teams to improve Audiokinetic products based on customer feedback;
  • Work closely with Developer Relations to help Audiokinetic products adoption;
  • Handle technical questions from teams evaluating Audiokinetic products in a way that fosters trust in Audiokinetic;
  • Provide timely response to help us meet our service level agreement;
  • Write documentation, create sample projects and guides for our users.

What do you bring to the team?

  • Experience using game engines, such as Unity or Unreal;
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical gaming related field or a similar role (e.g. integration specialist);
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Chinese;
  • Good knowledge of C/C++ or other object-oriented programming language;
  • Excellent team player and problem solver with a high level of self-motivation and initiative;
  • English communication skills an asset;
  • Interest in game audio: knowledge of Wwise, an asset.
