We are looking for an Art and Design Subject Teacher for an international High School based in Foshan. This is a full-time position starting in August 2024.
About the school
Foshan's first international-based secondary school was founded in 2016. It's located on a quiet green campus in the Nanhai District of Foshan in Southern China and 2 bus stops away from Guangzhou South Railway station. From there, you can travel all over China by high-speed rail. Hong Kong can be reached in less than one hour by high-speed train from the railway station. The school offers British IGCSE/A-Level, as well as American Advanced Placement, courses following their 4C Ethos: Cheerful, Cooperative, Creative, Challenging through their middle and high school divisions.
Job Description
- Teach the subject of art and design to high school students utilizing the IGCSE/A-level framework and ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
- Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
- Collaboratively teach alongside fellow educators, actively contributing to the development and enhancement of the school's curriculum
- Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers
- Develop supportive and safe learning environments
Requirements
- Holding a bachelor’s degree in related majors in art or design, with master’s or more advanced degree
- Professional teaching certifications such as PGCE or teaching license in the subject
- Minimum 2 years teaching experiences of mathematics relevant fields
- A minimum of two years’ experience in international schools
- Experience of teaching in A-levels and IGCSE
