We are looking for an Economics Teacher for an international high school based in Suzhou. This is a full-time position starting from the August 2023 academic year.

The school’s curriculum is student-centered, preparing them for top universities by emphasizing critical thinking, English proficiency, and a combination of Chinese and American educational practices.
Job details
- Teach the subject of economics to high school students utilizing the IGCSE/A-level framework and ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
- Prepare lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
- Work together with co-teachers to develop and improve school-based curriculum
- Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
- Up to two supervision duties per week, in the evening (6:30-9:00 PM)
- Any other related duties assigned by the school
- The working schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and teach up to 25 periods per week. A period is 45 minutes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in the subject you apply for or related subject
- Two years+ of full-time teaching in the subject you apply for or related subject + employment verification letter(s)
- Teaching License is a plus
- Experience with IGCSE and A-Level curriculum
- Classroom management and professional teaching skills
