THE ROLE:
We are looking for a driven and highly motivated Planning Leader to lead a robust forecast process for Athletic Greens. This role is responsible for leading the Samp;OP process and further developing and maintaining the supply and demand plans and all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. Additionally, she/he will execute enhancements to processes and systems to support the overall Planning and Operations functions.
This position will oversee the executing and effectiveness of the Sales and Operations Planning Process, Supply Planning and support in the Demand Planning process. This role will ensure that the team uses appropriate statistical models, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information from marketing, finance, advanced analytics, and other sources.
This role will also be responsible for liaisoning with global team on production to meet our aggressive fast-paced global growth.
WHAT YOU'll DO:
- Analyze historical demand, filter out outliers, identify the most appropriate statistical forecasting algorithm, develop base-plan understanding variances, propose opportunities, communicate consensus, and incorporate decisions.
- Continuously improve forecasts through evaluation of promotional activity, inventory changes, consumptions trends, customer type, geopolitical issues, strategic initiatives, category trends, and media and advertising plans.
- Develop real-time demand modeling.
- Attend key stakeholder/leadership meetings and make recommendations based on a sound understanding of supply, demand, and real-time supply chain assessment.
- Maintain transparency and efficient control over all supplies and final-good inventory throughout the global network including WIP transparency from powder to packaging to active inventory throughout our diverse supply chain.
- Lead monthly forecast reviews with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations Teams to validate and adjust current forecasts, gaining full alignment with business owners and executive management.
- Ensure continuous conversation with the supply chain team to analyze changes in the demand forecast in order to help maintain inventory levels.
- Generate and execute weekly inventory and WIP updates.
- Recap and analyze actual sales results to plan and forecast in-season sales and inventories on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
- Lead weekly meetings to assess inventory and forecasting for key partnership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that supports consistent COGS management.
- Communicate risk and opportunities to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Work with the Sourcing Team on GWP amp; PM to ensure accurate PO placement and stock inventory to support rapid growth.
- SKU creation and management.
- Serve as an escalation panel for conflict resolution in optimizing service, costs and inventory.
- Identify and assess opportunities for structural, technological and capabilities enhancements.
- Collaborate with the product and sourcing teams to manage updated/new product launches and enhancements.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experiences within the Planning function, both in Demand and Supply areas, production planning as a plus.
- Experience building complex financial models from the ground up.
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to switch gears in a dynamic environment.
- Excited to be part of a new function in a startup environment and comfortable working in a remote setting.
- Strong time-management and people skills, flexibility, and multitasking ability.
- You are knowledgeable in all things MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), ERP, OMS, etc.
